| THE IDEA! |

I've decided to post my "religion existence thoughts" essay that I've done a time ago! Days, years, centuries are passing by, but we still remember and study the ideas of such great philosophers as Socrates, Descartes, Aristotle, and Plato. But do their ideas and works really suit the modern society? Are they helpful, relevant? Well, for me, it depends on the issue. Today we have more educated people and everyone has his or her own principles in life, own philosophy. Now we can answer some questions, being scientifically proven, that were arising doubts years back. One of the questions that still remains unproven is the existence of God. Neither science, nor human experience has ever got close to this issue. There are hundreds of religions all over the world and all have different visions of god: Christianity, Islam, Buddhism, Wicca, Hinduism, etc.; single or many God beliefs. So it’s pretty complicated to identify which one is right, or even if there is any right one. In my personal opinion religion itself is very personal thing. You choose the religion which norms and values you’re comfortable with. People need to believe in something, in order to feel the security of themselves. We need an idol, which we consider will protect us. Firstly, before I’ll try to give my arguments of God’s existence, I’ll tell about my religion, if I can call my belief this was, because it doesn’t directly correspond to any existing ones. I truly believe that our present condition is the lowest point of any the human can reach. The Heaven and the Hell exist only in our mind, and the earth is the place where both these happen. Meaning that if we do and act positively and good, and our mind is free, then everything returns to us the same way sevenfold, so we’re on Heaven, and vice versa we live in Hell with all the punishments. Also all men’s life is struggle. So in order to rest in peace after death we have to fight hard and try to live our life as good for ourselves and as useful for others as possible. After death we reach the final condition of human being. We’re leaving the unprotective, weak and painful body that serves just for reproduction and get back to our normal condition – pure energy (soul). We may be reborn, and I believe in reincarnation. Body is just the cocoon for the soul and it helps soul to get the things it needs. I think that the energy we are, the soul, needs to be “uploaded”, it becomes stronger, when we, as physical humans do something it likes. For example art, music, sports. I believe in a God, but in something above human being. For me God is everything, including human beings. It’s the collective energy placed in space. Every creature possesses energy, which is God. The Devil is the same energy. Actually everything in the world should be balanced, so that there are good and bad things happening, but it’s normal. Each human has both God and Devil inside him, and they are co-dependent and co-related, like cod and hot, birth and death. I think that after our death, our soul gets connected for some period of time and then returns into cocoon. This way each of us is God at some point. I think that both for rationalists and empiricists the existence of soul would become obvious if they’d held an experiment and calculated that after death man loses 21 gram of the weight. Actually I think that method of empiricists is more convenient, because experience can show us much more than just mathematic calculations. Also you can’t calculate everything. Another thing is that it’s really bounded to look for reason of everything or for rational explanation, because I don’t find the life rational thing at all. Sometimes we just should believe the things we see, hear, or feel, not trying to explain it. In the end we’ll get every single answer to every single question. Descartes ones told, “I think, therefore I am”. I find this phrase very straight. By these words Descartes meant that mind is separate from the body, and only if a man is thinking – he exists. I agree to this point partly. For me mind is really divided from body. But if the mind is set into defected body (for example if the brain works partly, just moving functions), it doesn’t mean that a man doesn’t exist. He still exists, but the bounds that imperfect body provides with decrease the ability of mind to spread. Generally everything, that’s written above is just a personal opinion, belief, idea of mine and it still doesn’t reflect the objective truthfulness of the situation. So if someone shares this it’s great pleasure for me, if not, then “they think the other way, therefore they are”. by dasic |
